Rapid onset of artificial intelligence (AI) and Web3 is changing our lives and increasing the urgency of data privacy. "The more the world becomes digital, the more data is collected — and the more privacy becomes an issue,” says Rand Hindi, founder and CEO of Zama, an exciting startup providing open-source tools for homomorphic encryption. Homomorphic Encryption keeps data encrypted even during processing. In the case of blockchain, this means being able to run smart contracts on-chain, without revealing anything about the data in the contract.

Hindi started thinking about privacy when he founded his first startup, a social media network, at the age of 14. With Zama, Hindi is tackling the issue of privacy head on and believes that “privacy is something that needs to be solved once and for all.
